2/3 of a year!
Creeping backwards.
Swimming on the carpet trying to get somewhere.

Watching out the window as he stands.
Pulling Up.

Pulling Up.
Boyd is a wild man! Now 8 months old, he is adding to his list of skills. He has started to do push ups, pull ups, get into the crawling position, creep backwards and all around, pull hair even more, jump higher, attempt to swim on the carpet, etc. Boyd is in constant motion. His new loves are the running hose(especially lunging at the stream of water and making it spray in his face), water bottles, and watching the bees on our bushes out the window. On our flight back from Maryland, Boyd drank from the water bottle with success. He thinks he is big stuff now and of course we cheer for his gains. He remains the happiest baby ever. Boyd loves large crowds of people and being the center of attention- his smile creates quite a stir. Oh, the first picture was taken after his open house for kindermusik (Mom participated with Boyd as Dad observed)- Boyd loved kindermusik (especially the music's beat, dancing, the other kids, instruments, and Ring Around the Rosie).

Balloon Animals and Giant Squash
Today Boyd's Grandma and Grandpa Burla brought over four great surprises: two balloon animals, Tigger and a lady bug, and two GIANT squash. THANKS Grandma and Gramps! The balloon animals are amazing, I'd never seen such creations. Boyd was smiling for the photo shoot with his grandparents- what a poser. Later he wrestled with the squash. Love him!

Brief Update
He has a fascination with steering wheels, cars, grass, feet, and hair. The pool has been a fun place to visit on occasion. Boyd prefers the big pool over the baby pool, perhaps its all the commotion in the ocean. He is a people person and loved "partying" with his cousins when they visited. Boyd was lucky enough to go to the bluff at Castlewood State park, the Magic House, the pool, and the Arch with them. It was a fun couple of days and we are still hopeful that the Bolz family will find their residence in the St. Louis area soon. Well, it is getting more difficult to get things done around here and Boyd is actually asleep at the moment so I am going to go do some laundry while I have two hands.
