This one's for the Boyd

For those of you who normally check the blog, this is a special post for Boyd. I will be away from him for a while to undergo surgery and receive treatment for a malignant tumor in my bicep femoris (in my leg). I will miss him like crazy and don't want him to forget how much mommy loves him. I love you Boyd and can't wait to snuggle you and play all our Boyd-Mommy games again. When I call, talk to me like we've been practicing and try not to get distracted by the buttons (especially the "end" button). XOXOXOXOXOXO

February Days

Boyd and I have been enjoying our February days together. He is a hoot. Photographs of the back or side of his head are more numerous now than ever before since he goes goes goes.

Wishing for green grass and lawn mower season.
Hair!

Despite all the smiley faces on the blog, Boyd does exhibit other emotions. Here is a tantrum face.

Throwing his shoes aside.

????? Your guess is as good as mine - smushing his face against the window while blowing.

Boyd loves his blender and says, "On" to get it turned on to blend his finger.

Boyd and his cars.

Love him!

The vacuum phobia is over and it has now become an obsession. At least I don't have to carry him while we clean anymore!

Packing snow

Today was like a scene from the book The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats (one of my personal favorites). Boyd and I made a smiling snowman and Boyd found out he wasn't quite big enough to join the big boys in their snowball fight. Enjoy the picture of Boyd's reaction to the snowball daddy threw that landed with a plop on Boyd's head.

You are my sunshine my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey...

We are making it through these weeks of grey by being entertained by and trying to keep up with Boyd. He really is our sunshine. Boyd has been extra snuggly lately in between playing. We are so blessed to have him in our lives. Enjoy the pictures.
(above: Boyd gives a hug to his horse and contemplates getting in trouble in the other two pictures-he tries to stand on his firetruck).
I am a gorilla and I thump my chest...

Garbage truck. We love trash day. Once we saw the garbage truck 10 times in one morning.

Attempting to feed himself. Don't eat the banana peel.

Air Boyd!

Trying to fill Mom's shoes.

Outside playing in the street.

Playing his triangle after putting his maracas through his tambourine.

Hoop hoop through the hoop!

Good times at Castle Wood. Getting a run in for Mommy. (Notice the knees)

Daddy, I love you as much as that tree is tall.

Looking for a tree face.

All boy.

Toddler rule #1: Always carry two things at all times.

Strutting his stuff.

Where is Boyd?

Here he is!

Another fun game, sticking out my tongue.

Boyd and his current favorite book.
