Be Happy!

Boyd's favorite phrase is now "Be happy." In the tub tonight he told me, "color" (for his bath crayon), moved my hand to the wall of the tub and instructed me to write "B". Once I wrote B, he told me to write "happy." Then he took the crayon and "traced" the phrase. After bath he took his memory pieces and used them as stickers, he was all greased up with lotion. Can't help but love him.

Keeping up with Boyd

Love this picture. Inside the tube slide at Faust park. Boyd is smart and knows the tube slides are cooler.

Riding the carousel with mom. Boyd picked the horse and would pat its neck. He also like looking at himself in the mirror as he rode.
BFF's Riding around with Samantha. They are entertaining.

Boyd now holds conversations while talking on his phone. New words include friends and neighbors names, hello, bye, cool, and happy.

Riding in the truck!

Meeting Joe Cunningham and getting his first autographed ball and baseball card. The balloons, flags, and doors were actually his favorite part of this trip

I can climb. This time it's the ladder, earlier it was onto the kitchen table.

Going up or down?

A little leery of the grate until he spotted a frog down below. I'm pretty sure Boyd has frog radar.

Running. Later Boyd chased the ducks into the pond (he wanted to follow into the water but mom wouldn't let him).

End of May beginning of June

Giddy Up!

This was Boyd during the opening to Little Gym towards the end of the semester. He wanted to get to work right away.
Airtrack. Boyd used to cry and cling to us until 3 classes to go, then he loved it and didn't want to take turns.

Balance beam and rings!

Flips around the bar with the teacher Mr. Mark

Proud Mamma.

I couldn't resist.
Where did the food go? "I don't know. Boyd loved feeding the dogs.

Emmy loved this baby and would steal it from Boyd. Boyd got his revenge, ride on baby!

Reading with Great Grandpa Udovich. Boyd brightened his days during a tough time.
Tyler shows Boyd how to sleep in his own crib

Snacks with Andrew

Water balloons
Tractor!!!!! Also being a daredevil standing on it-yikes.

Wrestling with Andrew for the remote.

"Partying" with Uncle Matt- I couldn't keep up, but I was ready with my water balloon ammo

Pinata with Uncle Tony Go Cards
My sweet cousin Leah

First game of scrabble right before I ran it over with a truck

I told Boyd to say "cheese" so he did
Climbing the stairs

Stealing a drink from Andrew's cup while he's away at school

Homemade milkshakes with the guys!
It's hard to say goodbye (Boyd woke up Tuesday and called, "Tyler, Andrew") #1 Nephews

The world of Boyd
Favorite foods: cereal, strawberries, corn on the cob, anything chocolate and gatorade

Favorite words: dada, papa, gama, Pete, Tyer (Tyler), Andrew, Jenny, Tn (Tony), At (Matt)Emy (Emily)dog, go, turtle, scooter, cart, tractor, car, bus, gatorade, pizza, ball, Bob, Dave, shoe, tree, bird, mow, Arthur, dinosaur, I do it! Ranchmoor (when we turn into the neighborhood)

Favorite activities: reading books, climbing, running, mowing, swimming (and jumping off the ladder at the Bolz pool), playing with/bothering animals (sorry Bruno, Emmy, Ozzie, Max, Happy and the Bolz turtles), pushing toys, carrying heavy things, stairs, buttons, driving anything with a wheel, small spaces, coloring (sometimes on the floor with a hidden yellow highlighter), vacuuming, making friends with everyone he meets, trying to skateboard on different things, waving goodbye when you flush the toilet, tearing toilet paper into the smallest pieces ever, driving the car cart at the grocery store, opening cabinets and rearranging the shelves, dumping things, being silly, finding people bellies, honking noses, playing with the hose, throwing rocks, finding and playing in mud puddles (which is better than the mysterious dog poop pile he found in the neighbors yard-they don't have a dog), figuring out the world around him, signing thank you and please, Little Gym, getting donuts with Daddy on Saturdays after Little Gym, playing with glasses, trying on other peoples shoes, smelling stinky feet, tickles, starting the laundry (even if mom's not ready)

Favorite books: More Spaghetti I Say, Arthur's Really Helpful word book, Goodnight Gorilla, How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight, Peek-A-Boo books @ the Burla's

Fears: the scary mask daddy found in his parents basement

We can no longer mention Little Gym when we go into the shopping plaza where it resides or he cries because he wants to go play, actually we now avoid driving into the shopping plaza because he recognizes it and associates it with Little Gym

If Boyd sees a stop sign or occasionally a green light he says, "Go"

Boyd wants Mommy whenever he can see her, but when she is out of sight he is fine

Boyd now takes your hand and moves it to where he needs help or pushes your body until you are in the right place

Boyd knows where things belong and can be found
Following directions can be done!

Hugs and kisses are the proper way to say goodbye or sometimes hello.
Girls my height are fair game for kisses even if I don't know their name.

Tonight Boyd saw Adam's truck parked in the driveway as we arrived home, he started cheering Daddy. Then he ran around the house calling and looking for him. He started crying as he called his name unable to find him- heartbreak. A few weeks ago he chased a truck that looked like Adam's out of the neighborhood with a similar reaction.
