Boyd and Mommy have been making use of Mom's time off. Today we finally picked up sand for the sand box. Needless to say, much of the day was spent exploring the sand and doing some major digging. Boyd later used his trucks in the sand and also made mountains and creeks for Dragons and Princesses. We've also been practicing letter sounds and writing. Boyd is able to match many of the letters with their sounds. Today at the park he wrote a few letters in the mud so we came home later and made them on paper. Boyd also drew his best self portrait to date.

Sometimes I capture pictures too cute for words. Today was cleaning day, if you saw the house tonight you might not agree but we did clean today. I asked Boyd if I could throw his party hat away as I walked away to put a few other things in their places. A few seconds later he walked in and said, "No mom, I still wear it. See." How can I throw it away now?

Egg Dying Growth

Egg Comparison from 2011 to 2012. Dying Easter eggs is a Ramsey tradition I have carried over into a Burla tradition. I let Boyd enjoy the experience and let him explore in whatever ways he desires. Last years process: drop in, take out and move it to a different color-repeat as many times and in as many colors as possible. Then squeeze the egg until it breaks and continue to poke fingers through. This year it was a very delicate process. Put one egg in each of the bowls. Wait, then turn it to make sure the entire egg is colored. Take it out after several minutes. Marvel at their beauty and comment about how spectacular they are. Insist that no one break them or eat them. About the only thing that seemed the same from the year before was the PAAS Dye and the designated egg dye towel.

Ten cakes!

Counting eggs. Mom don't take my picture.

Fascinated with the reds inside your eyes.

New form of stretching.

Underwear Boyd. Boyd likes to just wear underwear and no pants after he goes poop. Hence the numerous pantless pictures.

Feeling Better

Boyd is feeling much better and we are happy to see this smiling face again.

Watch out for M&M's that eat Boyd. Boyd was helping me cut bananas for our food dehydrator when he disappeared.

Safely returned.

Playing in flour with trucks.

Muscle man!

Monkey pile of Burla boys.

Boyd drew a picture of Adam with his bath crayons. First drawing that has two eyes and a mouth.
