Rescue Squad Boyd. His flashlight even beeps (Boyd's voice) like the real firefighters.
Props. Slinky turns into a fire hose. A hanger (not pictured) becomes the fire extinguisher.

Saving Jessie.

Boyd said, "I'm a cute penguin suit."  A little confused as we prepare him for his role as ring bearer.

"I'm doing a tuxedo."-Boyd Hmm????

Playing cars in the bathtub. Keeping it G rated.

Boyd's love of trees grows

The firefighters came to school on Tuesday. Boyd wanted to wear the hat to sleep. He's always prepared for an emergency.
This evening Boyd discovered he could climb his beloved trees.  He was getting a little brave towards the end of the photo shoot (notice no hands, although he was leaning forward with all his weight).
Adam tried to escape this photo but, oops sorry dear, this was the only shoot that captured Boyd's height in the tree. Boyd couldn't climb any higher because the branches were not strong enough.

Boyd cracks me up daily. Last night while getting ready for bed he created a new game called "Warm me Up Ozzie." Instead of getting his Pajama shirt on he grabbed his wiener dog named Ozzie after my parents dachshund, wrapped it around himself, and ran around yelling. "Warm me up Ozzie."
Followed by much laughter. Oh Boyd, you will do anything to try to stall at bedtime. After hearing the pitter patter of feet the past few nights, multiple times after kissing goodnight (when caught red handed he said he was on a mission), we figured last night must have been a day off work because he finally went to bed and stayed there.

The Waukesha Freeman called to chat and asked for a photo. Hmm, mom is usually the one behind the camera. This morning we had a 30 second long photo shoot. Thanks camera man dad! We hope Boyd makes the paper!

A buzz cut and a treat from the ice cream truck. Tip if you want to be an ice cream truck owner and have more business sell smaller Popsicles. Boyd has been eating this one for days.

LOVE-LOVE-LOVE this boy!!!!

Looking for eggs.

The stash.

Chocolate bunny!!!

Easter eggs.

I can't believe Boyd likes black jelly beans. This is proof.

Playing Sire Metcalf. Boyd was the lizard and Sire was trying to eat him.

Sleeping beauty. I still think he looks angelic when he sleeps. Also, notice the emergency vehicles all parked by the pillow. Can't do anything without his cars in tow.

Signs of the season

Boyd shares mom's love for tulips. They smell so good. And yes, that's typical Boyd running around pantless and shoeless. Probably snuck out the door initially and then played outside like this for hours. The usual.

Reading his new books. Thanks Tyler and Andrew (and Mimi for carrying them on the plane to bring them here and for reading them over and over and over again.)

Loving mom's old comfy shirt and lipstick sample. If Boyd's lips look luscious it's because of his lipstick. I was envious of his plump lips and the color was perfect for his skin tone. I think I gasped. His idea to try it out of course.

Playing with Stinky.

The clubber (the pitcher)

Drawing "grass" for the Easter Bunny. Coincidentally, when we returned from our neighborhood egg hunt there were some eggs waiting for him on the front porch.

The 0-5 year old hunt. Boyd took his time.

His favorite find from the hunt. He calls them his spy glasses.

Neighborhood friends in the tunnel. These two were inseparable for hours today. The egg hunt turned into a play date too. Good thing it was in the neighborhood.

The infamous creek and creek crossings.

The steep part. I have seen every neighborhood kid take a spill on this part.

Made it to the top.

Finding a letter "Y" stick.

Trying out a new ride.

Trampoline time. Tonight Boyd asked for one.

Boyd also read his first word today (in which he sounded out instead of sight reading it.) The word was Bump. Boyd ended his day singing "Oh happy day..." He crashed quick tonight. Love that Spring air.
