bunny, I mean, everybody helped make it very special. He woke up early he was so excited. At Grandma and Gramp's Burla he found his bunny basket filled with special items. We failed to take pictures-sorry. You would have enjoyed the image of his new shorts over his existing outfit. He is good looking and would have started a new trend. His new dinosaur speaks three different languages! We went to a fabulous brunch and while the adults ate far too much Boyd proceeded to have an explosive diaper. That explains why there are no pictures of him in his Easter outfit. Uncle Pete says we will tell his diaper story for years to come just to embarrass him. Grandma and Mom had an interesting experience trying to clean him up in the freezing bathroom with no diaper changer or counter. We made due with the floor and a blanket-improvise. We enjoyed the rest of our day relaxing and eating far to much Easter candy. The animal basket was from Grandparent's Ramsey and it was filled with masks that cousins Tyler and Andrew made. Boyd actually grabbed onto them, pulled them out of the basket and covered his face. What a smart guy! We hope you had a wonderful Easter too!

Boyd's First Easter

Sticking out my tongue.

I can fly!

Boyd and Aunt Jenny.
Boyd and Aunt Jenny.
Puzzled face.

Kicking his feet making the bouncy chair bounce.
I think this is the longest I have gone without blogging and posting pictures. Good thing I have faithful followers to keep me in line-Thank you to my mother-in-law this time. It's not that we've been slacking on pictures or "firsts" [although I have decreased the number of flashes I subject Boyd to in case the flash is the culprit for his vision issues], we've just been incredibly busy. My coursework has also taken up the time I used to spend posting. Let's see if I can remember all the highlights from the past month.
Boyd weighed 11 pounds 5 ounces at three months and I am sure he has increased over the past two weeks as well. He visited a pediatric vision specialist and thankfully there were no structural problems (he wasn't tracking objects which was a concern). It took three people to hold him down in order to hold his head still and eyes open. Needless to say, both mom and Boyd were happy when that appointment was over. Boyd just marches to the beat of his own drum and chooses to track and look at what he wants, when he wants to. Since then he has really become the socialite. He makes great eye contact, smiles, follows movement, carries on conversations, and more. He has also started to eat his hands and basically anything that gets near his mouth. When he gets tired of tummy time he just goes face first into his quilt and starts trying to eat it. He also loves sitting up and standing up. When he's on his back he runs his legs and motors his arms. We have to move him from station to station-circuit training you know. He has begun taking more cat naps versus long naps, he must not want to miss anything. Over the past few weeks his Aunt Jenny visited and met Boyd for the first time [she has spring break a different week than Tony and the boys]. She brought lots of new books for Boyd to read and a rival Brewers baseball outfit. Boyd can't wait to meet his cousins when they visit this summer. Grandma Ramsey came with her and we all had a great time together. We took lots of walks, watched daddy play in his football game, shopped, and more. The following week we were able to see Grandpa Ramsey and Aunt Emily who came down for the MU Relays track meet. Boyd attended his first track meet and was VIP. He spent his time with Emily, Adam, and Grandpa Burla in the press box as mommy returned to the track to race. We ended up spending the night in a hotel. Boyd missed home and was happy to return the following day. When we walked into the house he started smiling. Boyd also helped pick out some new living room furniture. This week Boyd attended a Baby Signs class with mom. It was a refresher for mommy and Boyd liked looking around at all the commotion with the other babies. He shared his toys well too. Afterwards we were off to visit Grandma Burla at school. We made it in time for lunch and were able to meet her students and staff. She was very proud to show Boyd off. Boyd's been gracing her smart board with his presence to lift everyone's spirits, which is why these new pictures were so essential. The pictures at the end of the post are specifically for your class[you'll understand when you see them]. Well, I've yapped enough and Boyd will be awake any minute. Enjoy the new pictures.

The Only Dog I need! EVER
As many of you know Mommy Burla is not a pet lover. Therefore, Daddy Burla thinks it is very funny to tease mom about getting a pet. He thinks that he and Boyd are going to gang up on mom someday and bring home a dog. To that mom says, Boyd has all the dog he needs right now. His floppy blue puppy is a much better alternative. Enjoy all the pictures!

Happy Guy!

Snuggling with my puppy. Preparing to...

WRESTLE!!!!

I need to ask daddy what this move would be called. Hey, no biting.

Here Boyd is on his changing table, one of his favorite locations. It is one of the places where he smiles the most. I think it's because he likes looking at the monkey and zebra on the wall-they have a special connection. That or he appreciates the shadow that is created between the door and the wall. ?????
I'm a good sport. Hugs for the puppy after the match! Monday, March 2, 2009

The final days of February with family
This picture makes my family laugh. This is the face I make after every camera flash. Therefore, I make it a lot since mom and dad have taken well over a thousand pictures of me in two months.
Aren't I cute? I'm looking a little ornery too.
Taking a break from wrestling with my new favorite dog. It is floppy so I can hold it easily and get it into my mouth too.
Over the weekend I napped on Great Grandpa Ramsey's lap for hours on end.
Hanging out with my Grandpa Ramsey.
Hooray! My Uncle Pete came home to visit me.
Grandpa Ramsey taught me how to play the organ with my feet. I loved it.
A stretch and a smile.
Four generations of Ramsey blood (plus Ozzie the dog).
