Boyd has been busy growing lately. Two weeks ago I took him to the doctor and he was up to 15
lbs. 13oz. (Although he was weighed with his clothes on this visit). Must be all the sweet potatoes, bananas, avocados, and squash he's been chowing down on. Good thing he figured out how to jump in his exersaucer to keep his cute baby figure (haha). He is very entertaining and wild when he jumps. Since I last wrote Boyd also enjoyed a four day vacation at Grandma and Grandpa Burla's. What would we do without them? Mom and Dad's traveling schedule has been crazy, much like the weather. Ignore the towel in the background in a later picture as our refrigerator was knocked out by a strike of lightening that took out the tree across the street. We've been enjoying time outside looking at our slow growing garden and enjoying Missouri summer before it gets too miserable. Boyd rolls over once in a blue moon now and we like to practice sitting. He is into doing sit ups as he tries to sit up from a laying position. Our bundle of joy no doubt!

Last few days of being 4 months old
Tomorrow Boyd is five months old. Our baby Boyd is growing up. He remains a very chill baby. Always happy, regardless of how many naps he's missed or where he is in the world. He just takes in the world around him, fighting the sleep monster so he doesn't miss anything. When he does manage to nap, something or someone (usually Daddy) finds a way to capture his attention again. Mom is still hopeful that one day Boyd will sleep through the night too, although we are up to 6 hours in one stretch. We have noticed recently how much Boyd is captivated by music, especially songs from American Idol. Since the season is over we'll have to use some of the old episodes on the DVR - dad is fighting the idea of enrolling him in a baby music class (dad wants him to find a baby wrestling class to join instead-mom says, "What do you think getting Boyd down for a nap is?"). He's a Rock & Roll fan so you can guess who his vote was for. He is also infatuated with the outdoors, eating/ putting everything in his mouth (check out his new high chair-he thinks he is big stuff), running/bicycling his legs, trying out new sounds, and other children. We visited Emily and she is living with a family who has a three year old. You would have thought Boyd had a new best friend-that or he's into older women, he wouldn't take his eyes off of her. He has discovered that he can touch the ground and make his jumpy bounce too! We are practicing sitting (see series of pictures to judge the progress). Boyd has been accompanying me on some of my runs as well. He loves the jogger and the many places it takes him. The sunglasses are more for protection from bugs, fluffies, and pollen then the sun. Well, we need to get playing again so this is the end of our update. Enjoy the pictures.

Roll Over!
On May 8th Boyd surprised us and rolled over from his stomach to his back. I was convinced it would be from back to front first-he proved me wrong. The next day he rolled over 5 times in a row for Great Grandpa, mom and dad. Funny thing is, he hasn't done it since. He has gone back to eating his hands while on his stomach since that milestone is out of the way. He has practiced from back to front a lot though. Enjoy the pictures from one of his practice sessions and several other snapshots. He still is the most handsome baby around.
