For those of you who normally check the blog, this is a special post for Boyd. I will be away from him for a while to undergo surgery and receive treatment for a malignant tumor in my bicep femoris (in my leg). I will miss him like crazy and don't want him to forget how much mommy loves him. I love you Boyd and can't wait to snuggle you and play all our Boyd-Mommy games again. When I call, talk to me like we've been practicing and try not to get distracted by the buttons (especially the "end" button). XOXOXOXOXOXO

Packing snow
Today was like a scene from the book The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats (one of my personal favorites). Boyd and I made a smiling snowman and Boyd found out he wasn't quite big enough to join the big boys in their snowball fight. Enjoy the picture of Boyd's reaction to the snowball daddy threw that landed with a plop on Boyd's head.

You are my sunshine my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey...
(above: Boyd gives a hug to his horse and contemplates getting in trouble in the other two pictures-he tries to stand on his firetruck).
I am a gorilla and I thump my chest...
Garbage truck
. We love trash day. Once we saw the garbage truck 10 times in one morning.

Toddler at the park
On Monday I almost broke down in tears upon realizing my baby had grown into a toddler. I have been referring to Boyd as a toddler since he could walk, but suddenly it really hit me. Maybe it was the fact that he played ball half the morning, or pushed his trucks and tractors around saying "errrr", or ran to me-said "mom" and gave me a hug, or points to what he want, has become more picky as an eater, and is now a wild man at the park (his favorite thing is now going head first down the slide). Whatever the sign, Boyd is a toddler. We continue to love him and can't wait to report more of his development. Enjoy a few pictures from last week when we returned to the park after our deep freeze was over (hopefully for the remainder of winter).
