Emily informed me that I was slacking on posting pictures to the blog. I promise it was for good reasons, we've been busy the past week and a half. I feel like we've been somewhere every day. Good thing Boyd is at an age where he loves his carseat (Adam can finally strap him in too!). Despite the lack of posts, Boyd has been changing. He is so big now. Adam and I were looking at pictures where sleeves were rolled and clothes sagged. Today I packed away the first outfit he has outgrown, the rhino one. Adam's comment was, "Awe, I really liked that one." It's a tough reality that we will continue to pack away outfits. It reminds me to enjoy every day and Boyd phase. By the way the current phase is titled, "Don't put me down unless I am in a deep sleep." It makes getting things done tough, although I am now skilled at one handed tasks and figuring out how to use other body parts and props to accomplish tasks, but I love holding and snuggling with him so I don't mind. The pictures prove he does give me breaks.
Spending time with Great Grandpa Ramsey. Boyd enjoyed rocking with him.
Boyd with his Valentine, Samantha. This is their third date. They were even on the same schedule. We stopped to feed them in the middle of our walk and took up most of the trail. We cannot wait to use our baby joggers and have running dates. For now we are the crazy mom's bundling up our loved ones walking around Creve Coeur Lake.
Boyd loves his walks with Sam.
Boyd with Woody, Adam's cousin. This was taken right when Boyd spit up; hence, the look on Woody's face. Woody loved him anyway and even changed Boyd's diaper.
Boyd smiling at Grandma Burla.
Funny picture, but we love this outfit-so grown up.
Some pictures just don't need captions-too cute.
Practicing rolling side to side.
Tummy Time!
My head is up, my neck is strong.
Handsome.
The past weeks developments:
The past weeks developments:
-new sounds (he surprises himself)
-playing with what he can do with tongue (sometimes he looks like he's talking with the audio turned off)
-more awareness of hands (opening and closing)
-wanting to be held so that he is sitting and standing (no more stepping reflex, he is strong
-wanting to be held so that he is sitting and standing (no more stepping reflex, he is strong
-eye contact (Adam was so excited, yesterday he came home and Boyd was in the bath. Adam started talking to him and Boyd looked directly at Adam.). I get this throughout the day.
-Sunday Boyd turns two months
