Cracking me up

Ok, so another new post before a developmental summary. Boyd has been cracking me up today(even more than normal). Today he was running around the yard doing laps and when he got to me he would out stretch him arms and then collapse on the ground, by his 5th lap I realized he was playing Boston Marathon winner. He was watching the finish with me and was very concerned that the winner was laying on the road after. Later he kept saying, "I'm sweaty" and would wipe his face with the bottom of his shirt. I finally asked him why he was doing that and he replied, "Like basketball guys". He's been watching Uncle Pete's basketball team play for the past few weeks. On the way to nap Boyd instructed me to carry 3 boats, a few fish, and a fishing pole all from a game. When I inquired why he replied, "Just in case." Boyd was in bed before I snuggled in since I was finding a place for the flood supplies and when I picked up the book and turned to the first page he told me, "No, I started already" while turning a few pages. Kids say the funniest things. The pictures are from our trip to Purina Farms yesterday. I thought Boyd just ran laps in the barn but I guess he did stop momentarily several times to pet the animals. Mom and dad were happy to rest on the tractor ride. Oh, and Boyd refuses to wear pants or shorts unless they are red. We went to Target on a red shorts mission today since his only pair have a hole and they had no red shorts. I convinced him to pick another pair and he chose a pair of bright green ones. Wish us luck.

The piglets. Boyd's been reading a Spot book where Spot finds piglets. He tells me that Daddy's going to hold the mom pig and, "I hold this pig in this hand, and this pig in this hand". I think he is rethinking the possibilities.

Boyd's new house.

Boyd's an artist. He loved to glue "lots of snowballs, humongous" on his bunny.

Filler Post

"Reading like Papa Udovich"

Getting a drink.
As we walked Boyd would announce, "Look, see my doggie". He proudly walked Ozzie covering a mile and a half in one day.

We are behind with blog updates as we have been fortunate to have family visiting three weekends in a row, along with crazy schedules in the week. Here are a few pictures to share. Hopefully I will get a free moment to post a developmental summary soon. Also, have to brag that Boyd now says, "I love me mommy" while squeezing me in a bear hug. He is a lover and insists on hugs and lip kisses. He has enjoyed our guests dogs and enjoys playing pretend dog games. When Emily and her dog left this past weekend Boyd asked, "Where my people? Where my dog?"

Boyd is getting to be quite sentimental. Yesterday he told me, "Mommy, my best friend." Complete with a hug. Today he said, "Call my daddy, I love him." Both phrases brought tears of joy to my eyes and pride in my heart. He is amazing.
