Partying with my people.
With tears rolling down my cheeks and Boyd tight in my arms, I watched the clock turn to 3:24 December 22, 2009. My baby turned one year old. Boyd has turned into a toddler. He has been walking across the room since December 5 (his first step was November 29). When I told him the story of his birth and came to the part where I held him in my arm and said "Hi Boyd" for the first time, he waved. He now weighs 20 pounds 15 oz. and measures 30 and 1/4 inches (half as long as me). To celebrate we had a small party with some friends and family. Boyd had his one year shots the day before and was a little out of sorts, but we still had a wonderful time-Thanks to all the friends and family who could come celebrate with us or who thought of us on Boyd's special day. The following day Boyd made a new friend with Grace and played nicely for half the day. We are so fortunate to have such wonderful loved ones in our lives, we are truly blessed. I've been slacking on the blog because we spent two weeks away from home. We were in Maryland at my coaches for two weeks with a race in the middle. Boyd has now been to 11 states. During this trip alone he visited Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky. He also spent some time in the nations capitol. His favorite part about D.C. was chasing the seagulls by the water near the capitol. Boyd continues to be a joy and bring smiles to all that meet him. He is quite the ham. Enjoy the pictures of our handsome one year old.
Above: Bucket head. Boyd thought he was very funny putting the bucket on and off his head. Also, playing with Grace
- funny that they had all this pretend food and yet she is feeding him rings.
